Project Location: Melbourne, Australia
Product Name: Colored Glaze·Crystal Clear
Installed Capacity: 378kW
Installed Area: 2610㎡
Design Advantages: A benchmark building for sustainable BIPV in Australia, its core innovation lies in the integration of Gainsolar's "Colored Glaze·Crystal Clear" BIPV series products,
creating Australia's first solar-skin facade. Designed by the internationally renowned Bates Smart Architects, the project utilizes innovative double-sided solar "blades,"
which not only efficiently generate over 20% of the building's energy needs but also cleverly transform this into a dynamic shading system,
optimizing the indoor light and heat environment and achieving a triple efficiency of "power generation, shading, and comfort."
Combining nature-inspired design elements and vertical sky gardens,
the project not only creates a unique modern aesthetic texture and a human-centered street experience but also redefines the standards for climate-friendly office buildings through quantifiable carbon reduction practices and collaborative space design,
providing a climate-responsive model for high-density cities worldwide.
Energy saving effect: The building is equipped with 378kW of photovoltaic green building materials. Based on the local daily radiation and power generation efficiency,
it is estimated that the building will provide 453,000 kWh of green electricity per year, reducing the greenhouse gas emissions from the combustion of about 131 tons of coal,
which is equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by more than 340 tons.
